Accu Care Home Health Services offers a wide range of services that are available up to 24 hours a day, 7 days to individuals who live in the Capital Region and surrounding counties.

Nursing Services

Our Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) are licensed in New York State to provide intermittent or continuous nursing services to individuals with complexed medical needs.

RNs and LPNs provide:

  • Pediatrics and Adults
  • Clinical assessments
  • Tracheostomy care
  • Ventilator care
  • Tube feedings
  • Ostomy care
  • Bowel and bladder care
  • Wound care
  • Medication administration
  • Hourly or visits

Pediatric Services

We realize that family stress can increase over time when caring for a child with a disability. It is important to provide the appropriate skill level with personnel who are experienced to care for infants and children with special needs.

Private duty nursing is provided according to physician's orders and insurance coverage.

Before a nurse is assigned, an informal "meet and greet" is scheduled to ensure the delivery of services can be provided effectively and safely; and to see if the nurse is a good fit with the client and family.

Complex nursing care for an infant/child include, but not limited to:

  • Enteral feedings
  • G-tube care
  • Tracheostomy care
  • Oxygen monitoring/supplement
  • Ventilator dependency
  • Respiratory treatments
  • Catheter care
  • Seizure monitoring/treatment
  • Assistance with ADLs
  • Medication administration
  • Assistance at school
  • Developmental exercises

Aide Services

Our certified Home Health Aides (HHAs) and Personal Care Aides (PCAs) have successfully completed an approved training program. Our team ensures each aide is suitable to provide care to individuals in their home.

HHAs and PCAs provide:

  • Bathing/hygiene
  • Dressing/grooming
  • Toileting
  • Ambulation
  • Meal prep/feeding
  • Light housekeeping
  • Laundry
  • Medication and safety reminders
  • Errands and shopping
  • Socialization
  • Transfer assist

Consumer Direct Services

We provide Fiscal Intermediary (FI) for individuals who participate in the Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Program (CDPAP). This program allows the consumer to select, hire, train, supervise, schedule, and if necessary, terminate their own Personal Assistants (PAs).

As Fiscal Intermediary, we provide:

  • Payroll
  • Social Security, Disability and Tax Witholdings
  • Workers' Compensation, Disability and Unemployment
  • Health and Dental Insurnace
  • Flex Spending
  • Retirement Savings with Agency Contribution
  • Aflac (supplemental insurance)
  • Accrued Vacation
  • Monitor the completion of the mandated health requirements for Personal Assistants
